Divorce & Career Coach for Mothers
I’m a divorce and career coach helping mothers work through the emotions of divorce so they can make strategic decisions about the next stage of their life and career. After several years in an unfulfilling career, I became a stay-at-home mother while also using my professional skills to help support my former spouse’s businesses and dreams. When my marriage was ending, I had two young children and was trying to re-establish myself professionally. Suddenly, I was trying to figure out how I was going to support my family, rebuild my career, navigate divorce, and help my children through their own pain while managing my own. I understand how overwhelming this all can be! At the time, there was no professional I could find who understood the intersection between divorce and the decisions we make about our careers, income, and our future. So I became the professional I wish I had! Going through the divorce process forces you to make so many important decisions about your children, home, finances, career, and future, often all at once. I know from personal experience how overwhelming the fear, anxiety, and pressure can be when you're trying to make those decisions. My role isn't to tell mothers what to do. I help mothers think through their options, consider the benefits and tradeoffs, and make decisions that make the most sense for the life they’re trying to build. And when career, employment, or building a business is part of what a woman needs to think through, I bring more than 15 years of experience in recruiting and human resources. I hold the PHR and SHRM-CP human resources certifications and am a Certified Executive Coach through the Center for Executive Coaching. I understand how hiring works and how workplace dynamics operate behind the scenes. My HR leadership experience reinforced my ability to think strategically, anticipate how decisions may play out, and consider different scenarios before moving forward. My professional and personal experiences also gave me a deeper understanding of human behavior, communication, and how power dynamics can influence the way people think, respond, and make decisions. Today, I bring those experiences together to help mothers make thoughtful and informed decisions before, during, and after divorce as they build the next stage of their lives. Outside of work, I’m a mom, a coffee lover, and a singer who found her way back to the stage after divorce! While I don’t provide legal or financial guidance, I recognize when another professional’s expertise is needed. When possible, I connect women with proven professionals in my network and work alongside the other professionals supporting them.
