Professional Listening Sessions

Professional listening sessions are sessions where a professional listens without judgement. In this resource, we outline what the difference is between a Listening Session offering a calm, grounded space to slow down and be heard without interruption or judgment and a Verbal Smash Session - more dynamic and cathartic.

Need for Connection

The pandemic was difficult but we made it through. At its peak, we lost physical contact with our friends, family, and loved ones. In the workplace, in-person meetings were replaced with virtual ones. Thankfully, we have mostly returned to pre-pandemic life. The way we interact and communicate, however, has forever changed. And for some, that has led to feelings of isolation and loneliness.

A Listening Session offers a calm, grounded space to slow down and be heard without interruption or judgment. It’s gentle and reflective focused on helping you process your emotions, find clarity, and regain a sense of inner peace.

A Verbal Smash Session, on the other hand, is more dynamic and cathartic. It’s a safe outlet to release pent-up anger, frustration, or resentment in a healthy way. Instead of holding everything in, you’re encouraged to let it out—to say what you really feel, uncensored, so those emotions can move through you rather than weigh you down.

Both sessions are designed to help you heal—just in different ways. One brings quiet understanding; the other offers powerful emotional release.

Erin Snow, Founder of Seacoast Listening Lounge

Erin Snow has spent the last sixteen years providing legal advocacy to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in protective order and family law cases. She's trained in trauma-informed advocacy and empathetic listening. She's learned that people need and want someone who listens. It sounds simple, but how often are we really listening to what people are telling us? We might hear the words, but do we understand what is actually being said?

We have all had times in our lives when we really needed someone to listen to us. But there isn’t always an obvious choice of who that someone is. For Erin, a recent example was when she was going through her divorce. She didn’t want to talk to her friends about it because they might feel in the middle, and she was having major FOMO attacks about what her life would look like once word got out.

Relax, speak, and heal in a serene environment where your stories matter.

At Seacoast Listening Lounge, they provide a safe, confidential space for women to talk about anything—wins, challenges, secrets, or thoughts you don’t want to share with friends, family, or co-workers. Their empathetic listening service supports you without judgment or unsolicited advice.
