Every account. Every statement. Every asset. Accounted for.

Financial discovery in a divorce usually starts with a banker's box. Hundreds of PDF statements from a dozen institutions, downloaded in no particular order, named whatever the bank named them. Someone has to sort them, figure out which months are missing, ask for the rest, and then do it all again when the next batch arrives.

DiscoveryVault replaces that process. You upload everything you have in one pass. The platform reads each file, identifies the institution and account, assigns the statement to its period, and shows you a grid of every account against every month of the discovery period. What is missing is obvious at a glance, and it is obvious before you walk into the room.

Who it is for

Family-law attorneys. Know on day one which statements the other side has not produced, and send requests that name the account and the month. Gaps turn into document requests with one click, so the ask to opposing counsel is specific and on the record.

Forensic accountants. Start from a clean, reconciled ledger instead of a stack of paper. Every number traces back to the page it came from, and the full transaction history sits on one ledger against the marital timeline.

Clients producing records. Upload what you have and let the coverage grid tell you what to ask your bank for. No spreadsheets, no guessing, and no renaming files.

How it works

  1. Upload every record at once. Drag in years of statements, tax returns, and account exports together. Each file is read, classified, and placed. A Fidelity statement, a Chase PDF, and a brokerage CSV export all land in the right account automatically.
  2. See exactly what is still missing. The coverage grid shows every account against every month of the discovery period. Gaps are listed by account and convert directly into discovery requests.
  3. Follow the money across accounts. Transactions from every statement are extracted onto a single ledger, lined up against the marital timeline. When a matching amount leaves one account and arrives in another a few days later, it is flagged for review, with the dates that matter marked.
  4. Hand over a production that holds up. Exports are organized by account and period, with a SHA-256 hash for every file and an index of what was produced and what was not. The same package goes to the court, the other side, and the forensic accountant.

Built to be relied on in a dispute

Financial discovery is adversarial by definition, so DiscoveryVault is designed so that what it produces can be checked by anyone, and so that nothing happens to a record without a trace.

  • Files are stored in a private bucket and downloaded only through the app, with every download logged to the matter.
  • Owners, attorneys, accountants, and clients each get different permissions. Invitations expire and can be revoked.
  • Every upload, correction, merge, and export is recorded in the matter's audit trail with who did it and when.
  • Export files carry SHA-256 hashes, so anyone can prove a produced statement was not altered.
  • Document processing runs in isolated, short-lived cloud functions. Nothing is kept outside your matter.

Pricing

DiscoveryVault uses a fee schedule rather than a subscription. You pay for the documents the system reads. Storage, team members, exports, and reprocessing are all included.

  • Your first 25 documents: free
  • Each document processed, up to 25 pages: $0.75
  • After 500 documents in a calendar month: $0.50 per document
  • Storage, team members, exports, and reprocessing: included
