Carl’s ten-year high-conflict divorce and custody battle revealed how broken family court and child protective systems can be. Determined to create a better way, he founded SplitSmart, a platform that helps families, mediators, therapists, and courts reduce conflict through structure, transparency, and accountability. More than a tech tool, SplitSmart is part of Carl’s larger mission to shift incentives away from litigation and toward prevention, cooperation, and shared parenting. As both entrepreneur and advocate, he works to protect children’s relationships with both parents and to reform the systems that too often divide rather than strengthen families.
