Michael Cohen

I have 38 years experience successfully mediating within and across teams in the consulting and retail industries. I earned my CPA while at the University of Illinois and my Divorce Mediation Certification at Northwestern University in Chicago.    I have built an outstanding network of divorce professionals  who I am happy to bring into our sessions as needed and according to your personal needs.

My experience allows me to understand and navigate the financial and emotional aspects of your divorce with a passion that is focused on you and your family's journey and outcome.  As your divorce mediator I leverage my experience to help you have an amicable divorce with better and healthier outcomes at a fraction of the cost.

I went through a litigated divorce where I spent an inordinate amount of time in court waiting for our case to be heard.  We couldn't speak for ourselves and the judge made decisions for us that neither of us liked.  The process was not healthy for my children.  I wasn't aware that divorce mediation was an option and I subsequently learned that it is a far healthier way to divorce because you have better outcomes with less stress at at significantly lower cost.

I was fortunate to be able to start my own divorce mediation practice.  My purpose is to make a difference.  I pledge to guide you so you can have the best outcome at the lowest cost, while retaining the ability to be healthy co-parents for your children.
